Chief Financial Buys Coffee for First 500 Guests

On Oct. 9, Chief Financial Credit Union celebrated the first few months of its newest branch opening in Downtown Birmingham by picking up the community’s drinks at Birmingham Roast. The credit union paid $5 of every purchase for the first 500 guests.

“We love working with our neighbors and are so excited that Chief Financial has opened their new branch in downtown,” said Andy Vickers, Birmingham Roast store manager. “When they approached us with the idea of doing something to give back to our customers, we loved their passion to connect with the community.”

Chief Financial Credit Union opened its Birmingham location in June of 2020, offering financial services to Metro Detroit residents, nonprofits and businesses. Chief Financial of Birmingham has already become a community partner to local businesses and nonprofits.

"Throughout the past several months we have seen firsthand the impact of the pandemic on small businesses,” said Chief Financial Director of Business Development Ashley Werkmeister. “Now that we’ve had a chance to get settled into our new Birmingham location, we wanted to do something that gives back to our business neighbors and the community. A cup of coffee seemed the best place to start.”
