2025 Michigan Ice Storm Relief Grant Application

The Michigan credit union industry, in partnership with the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF), are offering emergency relief grants to credit union members who have been directly impacted by the recent ice storms in Northern Michigan. This grant provides up to $500 in financial assistance to help cover costs associated with temporary shelter, home repairs, utility costs, food, gas or propane, and more.

All applicants must:

  1. Be a member of a Michigan credit union in good standing, prior to March 29, 2025.
  2. Have their primary residence located in one of the 12 counties declared a disaster area by Governor Whitmer (listed below).
  3. Have incurred severe financial distress due to the recent ice storm.
  4. Be 18 years of age or older.

One grant per household. Funds are limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Credit union employees, Board/Committee volunteers and their immediate family are not eligible to apply.

Member primary residence must be located in one of these 12 counties: Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Mackinaw, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, and Presque Isle.
