TLC Community Credit Union Highlights Impact of Employee-Led Denim for Donation Program
TLC Community Credit Union is celebrating another successful year of its Denim for Donation program, an employee-led giving initiative that supports local organizations through weekly contributions and collective decision-making.
The program invites TLC employees to wear jeans on Fridays in exchange for a small payroll deduction. What makes the initiative unique is that employees themselves select the beneficiaries each year—ensuring the support reflects the values, passions, and community priorities of the team serving TLC members across Southeast Michigan.
For 2025, employees voted to direct donations to the Lenawee County Mental Health Authority and the Monroe County Mental Health Authority. Funds raised through Denim for Donation were presented to both organizations, supporting their work to provide accessible mental health services, resources, and support for individuals and families throughout the region.
“These organizations play a critical role in strengthening the well-being of our communities,” said April Eggert, AVP of Marketing & Community Engagement at TLC Community Credit Union. “Our Denim for Donation program allows employees to collectively invest in causes they care deeply about, and we’re proud of the impact this team continues to make together.”
TLC credits the ongoing success of the program to the passion and dedication of its employees, who demonstrate through small, consistent acts of giving that meaningful community impact can be built one contribution at a time.
