LAFCU and Grassroots Giving Lansing to Host Entrepreneurship Mixer on Lending Essentials
LAFCU is partnering again with Grassroots Giving Lansing to host the second session of their Entrepreneurship Mixer Series, a quarterly program designed to support aspiring and early?stage entrepreneurs through education, expert guidance, and community connection.
The upcoming session — The Lending Essentials — will take place on Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at LAFCU headquarters, 106 N. Marketplace Blvd. in Lansing. The event is free and open to the public.
The series launched in November, drawing more than 35 participants and demonstrating strong interest among local entrepreneurs seeking practical tools and networking opportunities. This next session will focus on key lending topics including accessing capital, preparing for credit review, and navigating challenges that commonly arise when seeking financing through financial institutions. The program will also offer insights into SBA lending and how a solid financial foundation can support long-term business growth.
“Our goal is to create a space where entrepreneurs can ask questions, learn from experienced professionals and gain clarity around lending options available to them,” said Sean Cervantes, business development and growth officer at LAFCU. “By partnering with Grassroots Giving Lansing, we’re able to provide educational information and foster connections that help entrepreneurs feel more confident as they move forward.”
Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch, connection with local business leaders, and the chance to win a laptop and a free year of QuickBooks to support their business operations. Registration is required, and details are available at lafcu.com/grassrootsgiving. No purchase is necessary to participate in the giveaway.
