CU Lunch Local Debuts New Logo for Fifth Annual Event
Michigan Business Connection President and CEO Bill Beardsley is excited to share the design of a new logo for the fifth annual CU Lunch Local program scheduled for Oct. 18.
CU Lunch Local shows support in local communities by dedicating dollars spent that day to local restaurants. Credit unions designate a specific location or have food catered in, invite their members to do the same and celebrate their events by posting images online with the hashtag #culunchlocal via social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Honor CU Operations Center Celebrates Ribbon Cutting
Honor Credit Union’s Operations Center, located at 8385 Edgewood Road in Berrien Springs, celebrated its official ribbon cutting with the community last month. Between Honor CU team members and community members, the credit union’s much anticipated newest addition was buzzing as building tours were given and the official red ribbon was cut. Encompassing an open concept and modern design, the 37,000 square foot building allows Honor CU’s staff to better support the retail branch network and incorporate new technologies and innovation.
U of M Credit Union Opens New Virtual Branch at Domino’s Farms
The University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) has joined the Domino’s Farms community with the grand opening of our latest virtual branch location.
This new branch, located on the first level, utilizes the latest technology to provide the same level of service as their traditional branches. This high tech facility includes iPads and remote video conferencing capabilities. Both of which allow UMCU members to do a variety of tasks from depositing checks to applying for a new Visa credit card or car loan without needing a credit union team member to be physically present.
Marshall Community Credit Union is Kids N’ Stuff’s New Exhibit Sponsor
It all started in the fall of 2015 when Marshall Community Credit Union’s (MCCU) Financial Education Coordinator, Andrea Tucker, reached out to Kids N’ Stuff Executive Director, Audrey Dean about the possibility of updating the museum’s existing bank exhibit.
MCCU has made a donation of $8,000 to Kids N’ Stuff to use toward the cost of construction and materials. Construction of the new credit union exhibit is underway and is expected to be ready in early to mid-September. Look for grand opening information later this summer.
Kids N’ Stuff Children’s Museum is an interactive experience for the entire family. Children will enjoy hands-on exhibits that encourage discovery and imagination.
MSUFCU Awarded Two CUNA Diamond Awards
Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) was recently recognized by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council for two of its direct mail campaigns. The credit union received a Category’s Best Diamond Award for its “Credit Myths Mailer” and a Diamond Award for its “Gen Y Auto Loan Mailer.”
The CUNA Diamond Awards recognize creative excellence and outstanding results in credit union marketing. Marketing campaigns are judged on strategy, creativity, design and production, copy and communication and results.
