Why CU Volunteers Feel Committed to Training and Insights

There is still time for credit union directors and CEOs to register for the MCUL & Affiliates 2016 Spring Leadership Development Conference, being held April 8-10 at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant.

More than 225 attendees are already signed-up to attend, proving their commitment to fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities and staying current with compliance training such as "Bank Secrecy Act for Board Members" and "Embezzlement: What it Means to Board Members."

Participants are also showing that the new two-part workshop included in registration on "A New and Improved Board: Effective Leadership for Directors" is important to their work as volunteers, along with agenda training on hot topics, current trends, board insights and visionary sessions.

The event features a timely keynote presentation on "Fast Money: The Jetsons ARE Today’s Members," as well as updates from inside MCUL & Affiliates and a choice of CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program topics.

CU Solutions Group will be offering a valuable half-day workshop, Springboard: Helping New and Future Board Members Dive In the afternoon of Friday, Apr. 8 for $199 per person. The agenda includes information on board roles and responsibilities, CAMELS rating system, financial statements and more.

A hot breakfast buffet will be served both days, and attendees and guests are welcome at a complimentary bingo activity Saturday afternoon, complete with prizes. Registration for the Spring Leadership Development Conference is $399 per person for the first four attendees; five or more are $350 per person.
