Michigan One Announces CEO Transition
Michigan One Community Credit Union (MOCCU)’s Board of Directors has announced the selection of Hailie Patterson as the credit union’s new CEO, replacing Tim Hemenway, who is retiring on Oct. 1, 2022.
Hemenway started as the credit union's CEO in 1991. His tenure has seen tremendous growth in the organization's popularity and consumer use, as well as many changes in how MOCCU members access their account through technology.
After his retirement, Hemenway plans to remain in the Ionia area, where he will continue to actively serve the community through various organizations, spend time with his family and go fishing.
The MOCCU Board of Directors began their CEO succession planning process nearly seven years ago. In 2018, Patterson completed the 42-month-long CEO Readiness Training. On July 27, 2022, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to place Patterson at the helm.
Patterson has more than 15 years of financial industry experience and has spent the last 10 years with MOCCU, serving as the COO since 2017. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Davenport University and is a graduate of the Southeast Credit Union Nation Association Management School, and is a lifelong Ionia resident.
“I am proud and honored to lead Michigan One into the future,” she said. “We have an amazing team of people that care about the work they do and make a positive impact on our members’ lives. With an outstanding team and a supportive and engaged board, I am looking forward to building on Michigan One’s foundation of financial strength and exceptional member service, and leading Michigan One to continued success and growth.”Go to main navigation
