  • CEOs and c-suite executives are reminded that hotel rooms are being held at negotiated rates until Aug. 21 for the MCUL & Affiliates 2017 Executive Summit, taking place at The Inn at Bay Harbor, Sept. 13-15. The popular destination is likely to sell out prior to the deadline, making now a good time to secure accommodations in advance. Well-known for its birds-eye view agenda tailored to forward-thinking insights for today's leaders, the event kicks-off with an optional golf outing and features quality networking time with peers at one of Michigan's most select resort destinations.
  • Rory Rowland, a well-known industry consultant, will be delivering a CUNA webinar on Understanding & Selling from Credit Reports-Part 1, on Aug. 1 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (ET). Cross-selling from a credit report is an easy and highly effective way to keep credit unions one step ahead of the competition. This session offers techniques for “mining for gold,” practice examining credit reports to look beyond the score and ways to explore different approaches to match untapped opportunities to credit union products and services based on member needs. The webinar is part of CUNA Lending eSchool which starts Aug. 1. CUNA members gain access to the entire series for $1295 and registration for the single webinar is $219.
  • IT professionals, senior executives, operations and compliance professionals should plan ahead for the July 26 webinar on Cyber Resilience and Incident Response being produced by the CUNA Center for Professional Development in partnership with NASCUS. The FFIEC is frequently alerting financial institutions to watch out for cyberattacks. For most, it is no longer a question of “if” but “when” they will be attacked. Learn about the current threats across the financial marketplace and explore strategies for implementing a successful incident response program as outlined in the FFIEC’s cyber resilience guidance. The webinar takes place from 2-3 p.m. (ET) and is available for $219 for CUNA affiliated credit unions.
