Date Clarification: IRA Training October 4 & 5

Credit union staffers who are new to IRAs, as well as seasoned professionals needing to stay current, should plan on attending IRAs: Essentials and Beyond Essentials being offered Oct. 4 & 5 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth.

Participants may register for both days or choose to attend either of the one-day sessions, which will be facilitated by Deb Shipman, CIS, CIP, CISP, a senior IRA training consultant with Ascensus.

IRA Essentials will be covered Oct. 4 to give attendees a solid foundation of IRA knowledge. Exercises are included throughout the day to help participants apply information to job-related situations, be able to work with IRA owners and process basic IRA transactions with confidence. This is a beginner’s session; no previous IRA knowledge is assumed.

The training continues on Oct. 5 with Beyond Essentials to build on knowledge of IRA basics to address some of the more complex IRA issues. This advanced session requires previous IRA knowledge and will help participants calculate a required minimum distribution, understand beneficiary options, cover resolving contribution issues and more.

Each one-day session is priced at just $199 per person, per day, and includes an IRA manual, continental breakfast and lunch.
