Find Courses for CUNA CCUV Designation at MCUL Fall Conference

Volunteers face many responsibilities that require a firm grasp on credit union operations and board leadership, as well as the credit union movement as a whole.

The MCUL & Affiliates Fall Leadership Development Conference provides the perfect opportunity for volunteers to stay current on such industry issues and begin to earn a Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) designation with the CUNA Volunteer Certification program.

The CCUV is designed to create confident, strategic credit union leaders with the expertise and decision-making skills expected of them. There are three prerequisite exams necessary to complete either the board of director track or supervisory committee track: History & Philosophy (V01), Financial Reports (V02) and Managing Risk (V03). Two of these prerequisites, V01 and V03, will be taught at the conference and the tests will be administered onsite at no additional charge.

CUNA offers online learning modules for busy volunteers who would like to earn a CCUV designation at their own pace. There is no time limit for completing the CCUV designation, as long as at least one exam is completed annually. MCUL & Affiliates provides this opportunity at conferences twice each year. To learn more about how to earn a CCUV, visit the CUNA website.

Online registration is currently available for the Fall Leadership Development Conference, Sept. 14–16 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. A registration worksheet to distribute to volunteers is available here.
