Financial Plus Credit Union Donation Supports United Way in Mid?Michigan
Financial Plus Credit Union donated $65,000 to the United Way following an employee contribution campaign. The donation will benefit United Way organizations serving Genesee, Shiawassee, Saginaw and Bay counties.
The campaign marked the highest participation to date, with 201 employees contributing across the organization. Employee contributions totaled more than $30,000. Financial Plus Credit Union matched all employee donations, bringing the total contribution to $65,000.
The credit union was the top?contributing financial institution for a local United Way employee campaign for the second consecutive year.
“Our annual United Way campaign is always a meaningful time for us. Seeing our team come together each year to support nonprofits in the communities we serve reflects the heart of who we are, and I’m proud of the support they continue to show,” said DeAnna Wallace, Chief Human Resources Officer and SVP of Member Experience at Financial Plus Credit Union.
“Once again, the team at Financial Plus Credit Union continues to amaze us with their generosity and community spirit. This effort will assist hundreds of local families with a Hand UP at a time when basic needs like food and shelter continue to rise in cost. We are grateful the team at Financial Plus Credit Union has answered the call to share with families in need,” said Jamie Gaskin, CEO of the United Way of Genesee County.
United Way organizations work with community partners to support children, individuals and families by connecting them with resources needed to succeed at various stages of life.
