  • On Monday, Sept. 18 the Supervisory Committee Academy will host the webinar, Lending 101 for Supervisory Committees: Answers to Questions You Haven’t Asked Management. Regardless of asset size, lending generates the vast majority of revenue for credit unions. Aside from generating revenue, this area of the business represents significant risk to sustainability as a financial institution. This interactive and informative session addresses the top questions asked by volunteers about lending, including appropriate roles for volunteers and what FICO scores really mean. Registration is $249. The webinar takes place from 2-3 p.m. (ET).
  • CUNA will offer a Corporate Account Takeover webinar on Oct. 19 from noon-1 p.m. (ET). The session will help credit unions develop the policies and procedures to protect members and learn best practices for mitigating the threat of corporate account takeovers. Training will include how to reduce losses when identity theft occurs and address takeover schemes, strengths and weaknesses of prevention methods, detection tips and how to respond to a crisis event.
