Education News

  • All Michigan credit union CEOs have recently been sent information about the MCUL & Affiliates Fall Leadership Development Conference, being held Sept. 15-17 at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. This year the event features the keynote presentation, "The Future of Credit Unions: Becoming Relevant." The conference offers an increased focus on fraud issues, Bank Secrecy Act training for board member, several sessions ideal for supervisory committee members and great networking opportunities. Developed for directors and CEOs, guests are welcome to join participants for meals and an optional Saturday afternoon winery tour. Anyone needing additional information or more brochures to distribute to their volunteers may contact the education team via email.

  • CUNA is offering a webinar on Developing Outstanding Member Service on Aug. 2 from 11 a.m.—12:30 p.m. (ET). Participants will learn how to fulfill member needs, increase exposure to credit union products and services and develop a successful sales culture. The webinar will inspire new sales people, rejuvenate veterans and help integrate non-sales professionals, allowing credit unions to make the most out of every member conversation. All employees need this training to project a unified, professional image. Registration is $219 for CUNA affiliated credit unions.
