- CUNA will host a Share Insurance webinar on Dec. 7 from 11 a.m.-noon (ET) that will prepare staffers to answer members' questions about the safety of their funds on deposit at a credit union. The webinar will explain the share insurance fund and provide tools to confidently navigate members to a safe harbor, as well as what the NCUSIF is and why shares need insurance. The session will answer the question "Is $250,000 really the maximum that can be insured?" and how account ownership affects share insurance. Registration is $219 for CUNA affiliated credit unions and is available to CUNA Training Bundle users at no additional charge.
- Take the time to review the importance of monitoring excessive transactions on non-transaction accounts, during CUNA's upcoming webinar on Regulation D. The discussion will include the steps that must be taken to be compliant with Regulation D, how that translates to the membership and when exceptions are acceptable. Attendees will learn about the different types of transactions that affect Regulation D, what is required by the credit union to remain compliant and about enforcing the regulation with members, as well as when it may be acceptable to overlook excessive transactions. The training takes place from noon-1 p.m. (ET) on Dec. 14. CUNA affiliated credit unions may register for $219 and CUNA Training Bundle users may participate at no additional cost.
