CUES Michigan Council Scholarship Applications Now Available
Applications for CUES Michigan Council Scholarships are now available. CUES provides scholarships for employees and family members of CUES-member credit unions who plan to attend a Michigan college or university, as well as for full-time credit union employees interested in continuing their education.
Applicants for the Dorothy Nouhan Humanitarian Award must be full-time high school or college students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and are evaluated with equal emphasis on academic achievement, community service and essay content. This year’s essays must focus on one of two themes: “How can credit unions become more relevant in the eyes of the younger generation?” or “If you could create one product or service to serve the underserved or underbanked, what would it be and why?”
The Dave Adams Advocacy Award provides support to credit union employees for the continued pursuit of knowledge, training and leadership development. Applicants must be active CUES members, full-time paid credit union staff and committed to attending the entire 2 or 3 year Institute curriculum as well as completing two action learning assignments.
Application materials for both awards must be received no later than July 15, and winners will be notified by June 30.
