Team One to Break Ground on New Headquarters in Saginaw

tocuTeam One Credit Union is proud to announce plans to break ground this August on a new, state-of-the-art, 28,000-square-foot headquarters at its current main office site in downtown Saginaw. As the credit union celebrates 90 years of service, this transformative project represents a bold investment in the future and a deep commitment to the community it has proudly served since 1935. Construction is expected to begin in early August 2025 and conclude by late 2026.

The new three-story headquarters will feature a full-service retail branch, collaborative workspaces, and a wellness-focused environment for employees. A 2,400-square-foot community room will provide space for public events, financial education workshops, and civic engagement.

“This new headquarters is more than a building — it’s a symbol of our promise to our members, our employees, and our community,” said Team One CEO Derrick Barber. “We’re proud to reaffirm our roots in Saginaw while building a future-ready space that will serve generations to come.” Mayor Brenda Moore added, “This is more than development—it’s a sign of Saginaw’s resurgence and the powerful role community institutions play in our city’s growth.”

Designed by AKA Architects and built by Ronnisch Construction Group, the branch will maintain operations during construction, with the existing facility to be replaced by a community plaza and green space once the new building is complete.

“This new headquarters is a powerful reflection of our long-standing presence in the communities we serve and the connection to the people and neighborhoods that have shaped who we are,” said Team One Board Chairperson Rebecca Sanchez.

State Representative Amos O’Neal added, “This project is a clear vote of confidence in our region’s future. It will create lasting opportunities and strengthen the fabric of our community.”
