Strengthen Your Financial Well-Being Efforts at the MCUF Financial Health Workshop

Registration is open for the 2026 MCUF Financial Health Workshop, happening Oct. 8 at the Henry Center in Lansing. This one-day event brings together financial counselors and coaches, financial educators, community engagement professionals and anyone interested in helping members improve their financial health and well-being.

This year’s agenda is focused on practical ideas and real-world approaches credit unions can put into action. In Measuring What Matters Most, Clare Suellentrop of Attune, will explore how credit unions can move beyond traditional measurer of success to better understand and track member financial health.

Then, in Your Members are Drowning in Financial Advice, Blake Allison of LifeCents, will tackle a different challenge: members aren’t short on financial information – they’re overwhelmed by it. Through interactive discussion and real member scenarios, attendees will explore how to move members from simply knowing to doing and leave with a four-question framework they can use in their next member conversation.

And that’s just part of the day! Attendees will hear from industry experts and Michigan credit union peers, exchange ideas with others doing this work and explore new approaches to supporting members in every stage of their financial journey.

Whether you’re an experienced financial counselor, building or expanding a coaching program, leading financial education or community outreach, or simply looking for new ways to strengthen your credit union’s financial well-being efforts, we’d love to have you join us on Oct. 8 in Lansing.
