HERO26 to Feature Session on AI Guardrails for Michigan CUs: Policies to Protect Confidential Information and Reduce Employment Risk
AI is already being used within many credit union workflows, from résumé screening and employee monitoring to drafting performance reviews and automating communications. However, unmanaged AI can quickly become a liability when employees paste member or employee data into non approved tools, when automated screening produces adverse impact or when “risk” or “productivity” scores influence discipline and termination decisions.
During the MCUL HERO26 conference, attendees will hear from James M. Reid IV, a labor and employment attorney, about how to establish an AI policy that requires human verification for HR decisions and assigns clear responsibility across HR, compliance, IT and security, procurement and legal teams.
The session is one of more than a dozen topics being covered at the event for HR and training professionals, taking place July 14 through 16 at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville.
