Frankenmuth Credit Union Awards 158 Livestock Grants to Support Youth Exhibitors
Frankenmuth Credit Union (FCU) is continuing its support of local youth by awarding 158 Livestock Grants across nine Michigan counties this summer.
The grants, totaling more than $10,000, help offset some of the costs associated with raising animals for auction at county fairs. The program recognizes the dedication and hard work of young exhibitors while supporting agricultural education and youth development throughout the region.
The following counties were represented in this year's grant awards:
- Bay County: 4 recipients
- Genesee County: 6 recipients
- Huron County: 46 recipients
- Lapeer County: 1 recipient
- Midland County: 5 recipients
- Saginaw County: 38 recipients
- Sanilac County: 1 recipient
- Shiawassee County: 7 recipients
- Tuscola County: 50 recipients
“Frankenmuth Credit Union is honored to support these young exhibitors as they see the countless hours they have invested caring for their animals pay off,” said Vickie Schmitzer, CEO of Frankenmuth Credit Union. “They have developed valuable life skills that will aid them in whatever they set their minds to next.”
The Livestock Grant program reflects FCU’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth exhibitors and recognizing the hard work, responsibility and dedication they demonstrate through their participation in local agricultural programs.
