Financial Plus Credit Union Breaks Ground on New Holly Branch
Financial Plus Credit Union has broken ground on a new branch in Holly, marking another milestone in the credit union’s continued expansion across Michigan.
The new branch will be located at 4049 Grange Hall Rd. and is expected to open in early 2027. Financial Plus leaders joined community representatives, including Holly Chamber of Commerce President Richard Kinnamon, Fire Chief Jeremy Watson and Chris Veleno, DEI Corp. site manager for the project, to celebrate the start of construction.
“We’re excited to officially see this project get underway,” said Brad Bergmooser, President and CEO of Financial Plus. “Holly is a community with a lot of pride, and we look forward to becoming an even bigger part of it. From supporting local organizations and businesses to helping members navigate their financial goals, we’re eager to put down roots in Holly.”
The Holly location was announced earlier this year as part of Financial Plus’s expansion into Oakland and Livingston counties. The growth initiative also includes new branches in White Lake and Hartland and follows the recent opening of the credit union’s newest branch in Bay City.
“This groundbreaking is a fun milestone, but it really represents what’s to come,” said Colby Hipkins, future Branch Manager of Financial Plus’s Holly location. “We’re building more than a branch in Holly. We're building an environment where our branch team can actively engage with the community, deepen relationships with our members, and build strong partnerships with local businesses."
With an established member base already in the area, the new branch will provide additional opportunities to strengthen existing relationships while welcoming new members from throughout the community. The location will expand access to personalized service and financial guidance closer to where members live and work.
