Christian Financial Outreach & Impact Foundation Awards $14,600 in Grants to Local Nonprofits
The Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation has awarded $14,600 in grants to eight nonprofit organizations across southeast Michigan through its Summer 2026 grant cycle.
The funding will support a variety of programs focused on educational opportunities, youth development, family support services and access to essential resources. Grant recipients include Kids On The Go, New Hope Center for Grief Support and The Rainbow Connection.
The following organizations were selected to receive Summer 2026 grants:
- Aktive Minds Foundation received $500 to support its Character Development Basketball Program, helping cover team shirts, sporting equipment and classroom supplies.
- New Hope Center for Grief Support received $2,500 to help fund its Annual Kid’s Camp, a free two-day bereavement camp for children ages 4-14 coping with the loss of a loved one.
- Kids On The Go received $2,500 to support resource center services that provide families of children with special needs access to tools, knowledge and support.
- CARES of Farmington Hills, Inc. received $2,000 to provide nutritious food and essential household items to more than 900 households served each month.
- WAVE Project (Welcoming All Valuing Everyone) received $1,000 to support its Mobile Essentials Van Program, which provides clothing, food and hygiene products to individuals across Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
- For Kids Like Me received $600 to help fund its annual Backpack Give-A-Way, providing backpacks and school supplies for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Detroit Food & Entrepreneurship Academy received $500 to support its afterschool Leadership Culinary Program through the purchase of fresh ingredients, cooking supplies, take-home meal kits and enrichment activities.
- The Rainbow Connection received $5,000 to support its Special Response Program, which assists families with food, clothing, utilities, transportation, housing and other urgent needs.
Collectively, the funded organizations address a wide range of community needs, from helping families facing hardship and expanding opportunities for young people to increasing access to food, transportation and other essential services.

To date, the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation has invested $304,992 in nonprofit organizations throughout southeast Michigan, supporting programs and services that strengthen families, enhance communities and create lasting impact.
