Ubay Launches Green Loan Program Focused on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

United Bay Community Credit Union (Ubay) announced the launch of its Green Loan Program, a lending initiative designed to support members pursuing projects and purchases intended to reduce energy use and improve long-term affordability.

The Green Loan Program provides financing for a range of eligible uses, including solar installations, energy?efficient home improvements, electric or hybrid vehicles, energy?saving appliances, heat pumps and other qualifying sustainability-focused upgrades.

“Our Green Loan Program is about meeting members where they are and helping them invest in solutions that are good for their homes, their wallets, and their community,” said Tia Sailor, Green Lending Manager. “Many green improvements reduce utility costs over time, and we want to remove financial barriers so more members can take advantage of those benefits.”

In addition to offering competitive rates and flexible terms, the program is supported by staff with experience in green and project-based lending. According to the credit union, this includes coordination with contractors and an understanding of financing considerations specific to energy?efficient projects.

The Green Loan Program aligns with Ubay’s broader efforts related to community development and financial inclusion by expanding access to responsible lending for projects that support housing quality, energy resilience and long-term affordability.

Members interested in additional information or eligibility requirements are encouraged to visit ubay.org or call (800) 968?7696.
