Lake Trust Renews Commitment to Allen Neighborhood Center, Supports Local Entrepreneurs
Lake Trust Credit Union, a community-based credit union serving nearly 200,000 members and businesses throughout Michigan, announced a five-year extension of its partnership with Allen Neighborhood Center (ANC), a Lansing-based community hub.
As part of the renewed collaboration, Lake Trust will continue supporting the Lansing community through professional workshops and educational courses focused on financial wellbeing for entrepreneurs and youth development programs. A portion of the funds will be dedicated to ANC’s Entrepreneurship Support Fund, which provides financial assistance for equipment, training, licensing and other business-related costs.
This commitment builds on Lake Trust’s ongoing support of ANC’s Maker Kitchen, a mixed-use incubator space that helps local food entrepreneurs scale production and strengthen operations. Since the partnership began in 2021, the Maker Kitchen has empowered dozens of entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and contribute to the local economy.
“At Lake Trust, we are dedicated to building strong, vibrant neighborhoods and that starts with supporting local entrepreneurs who are contributing to the community,” said Amanda Huszti-Vickers, Community Impact Manager at Lake Trust. “Expanding our partnership with Allen Neighborhood Center is a vital step in uplifting the entrepreneurs at the heart of the Lansing community and driving the local economy forward.”
ANC leaders echoed the impact of this collaboration, noting that the partnership has helped many entrepreneurs establish permanent business spaces and achieve long-term success.
Lake Trust remains committed to creating a world in which everyone thrives by fostering economic development and supporting local businesses throughout Michigan.
