Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union Hosts Successful Fraud & Scam Awareness Seminar

aaacuAlpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) hosted a successful educational seminar — Spot it, Stop it: A Fraud and Scam Awareness Seminar. The presentation was facilitated by AAACU team members Patti Prittie and Ashley Josey, the Contact Center Manager and Card Services Supervisor respectively.

Over a dozen community members attended this free event and were able to learn more about fraud and scams. Attendees left with tips on how to recognize scams and what to do if they ever find themselves the victim of fraud or a scam. Local business owner, Nathan Makowske, of Wolf Pack Technology was also in attendance to provide additional education on the role that technology can play in the execution of fraud.

With instances of fraud and scams increasing every day, AAACU was proud to offer its community these educational opportunities to increase their financial safety.
