C3JBThe latest episode of MCUL’s podcast series, Credit Unions, Coffee and Conversation, features a conversation with John Ballantyne, Founder and CEO of Tru Treasury.

Ballantyne, who helped launch the CUSO in 2021, shares Tru Treasury’s mission to bring clarity, efficiency and strategy to treasury management for credit unions of all sizes.

Ballantyne brings more than 16 years of experience in financial services to the table, including leadership roles in underwriting, payments and treasury management. Prior to founding Tru Treasury, he held several executive positions at SunTrust Bank (now Truist), including Head of Treasury Solutions Proposal Management and VP of Digital Money Movement. He’s also a military veteran, startup founder and currently serves as a Field Grade Officer in the Army Reserves.

Under his leadership, Tru Treasury was recently named CUSO of the Year, a recognition of its work in helping credit unions deliver competitive solutions to business members while maintaining their cooperative edge.
