Support the Michigan Credit Union Foundation in 2026
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) exists to advance financial well-being, strengthen communities, and support the next generation of credit union leaders. And in 2025, that mission reached farther than ever – thanks to the credit unions that donated, participated, and partnered with us throughout the year.
This year alone, 98 Michigan credit unions – 58% of the state – engaged with MCUF programs or received funding, demonstrating the statewide impact of cooperative support.
2025 Impact Highlights
- 48 grants awarded, including 26 Community Enrichment Support grants and 22 CU Kind Day grants, totaling over $111,000
- Nearly 175 Financial Reality Fairs, preparing more than 17,000 students for real-world financial decision-making
- 219 newly certified financial counselors and 60 participants in the MCUF Financial Health Workshop
- Strong support for credit union talent, including funding for young professionals, including 34 ACE25 scholarships, and 4 Executive Summit scholarships for new CEOs
This work, and the thousands of Michiganders it touches, is only possible because of credit unions that chose to support the Foundation. In 2025, 79% of Michigan credit unions made a donation. In 2026, we hope to grow that support even further.
