Scholarship Opportunities Available for Michigan Credit Union Professionals

The Michigan Credit Union League and Michigan Credit Union Foundation are offering a range of 2026 scholarship opportunities designed to support leadership development, professional growth and engagement across Michigan’s credit union community. These scholarships help make key conferences and training programs more accessible for young professionals and staff from small-asset size credit unions. Full details and application information are available here.

MCUL Conference Scholarships

MCUL is currently accepting applications for Small-Asset-Size and Young Professional scholarships for several leadership and engagement events, including HERO26, the Executive Summit and the Contact & Connect Leadership Conference. These scholarships support attendance at MCUL-hosted events focused on leadership development, peer connection and collaboration across the credit union movement.

In addition, MCUL offers the Michele Myrick ASFM Defense Fund Scholarship, which supports Michigan credit union leaders attending select events. These scholarships help offset or cover related travel costs.

Development Education (CUDE) Scholarships

Through the Michigan Credit Union Foundation, Development Education (DE) Training Scholarships are available for credit union professionals interested in attending the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUDE program. Scholarships cover the full registration fee of $3,199 for either the August 30–September 4, 2026 or October 4–9, 2026 sessions. Travel and hotel costs are not included.

MCUF Professional Development Scholarships

MCUF is also offering CU Professional Development Scholarships to support credit union-affiliated education and training programs. These scholarships provide up to $3,000 per recipient and are designed to help professionals strengthen their skills and leadership capabilities.

CU FinHealth26 Scholarship

The CU FinHealth26 Scholarship will provide one professional from a small-asset size Michigan credit union the opportunity to attend the CU FinHealth Conference, taking place September 22–24, 2026 in Denver. The conference focuses on the credit union role in improving financial well-being and highlights innovative strategies, partnerships and research shaping the future of financial health.
