MCUF Offers Free Youth Month Materials for Michigan Credit Unions

youthThe Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) has partnered with My First Nest Egg to offer Michigan credit unions free materials to use this April, during Financial Literacy Month and CU Youth Month.

The comprehensive toolkit is designed for credit unions to empower parents with resources to make money conversations with kids easy and impactful. The toolkit includes a detailed parent guide, an interactive map for kids, and engaging social media posts. The interactive map is especially fun as it’s filled with links to videos and fun games that make learning about money exciting for kids.

The toolkit is designed to be a no-fuss, hassle-free way, for credit unions to participate in Credit Union Youth Month. Simply follow the printing guidelines for in-house activities, or add it to your website for a fun, virtual experience for youth members.

“When we learned that America’s Credit Unions was discounting the annual Youth Month theme and resources, we wanted to find something to offer our credit unions, as an alternative,” said Andrea Tucker, MCUF Executive Director. “When we heard about the toolkit by My First Nest Egg, we realized it was going to be a great option.”

Materials for the full Youth Month toolkit are available online here, and are free for Michigan credit unions, with funding provided by the Michigan Credit Union Foundation. MCUF is cooperatively helping credit unions thrive and serve Michigan communities through financial education, community enrichment and professional development.
