Community West Names New CEO
Community West Credit Union's Board of Directors announced today that they appointed Heidi Hunt as President/CEO after Jon Looman stepped down from his role with the organization.
"The board believes that Heidi Hunt is the ideal CEO to position Community West for continued growth and success," said Board Chair Pamela Hove. "Heidi has consistently provided solutions that deliver results and has a strong record of innovation, execution, and operational excellence. She is a proven leader, and we are excited to have her in this role with Community West."
Hunt has more than 25 years of experience in the financial and lending industries. She began her career with Community West in 2011, managing loan portfolio growth for the organization, and, in 2021, progressed into the role of Chief Lending Officer.
Hunt has acquired several accreditations, including; Certified Chief Executive (CCE) through the Credit Union Executive Society, Certified Innovation Executive (CIE) from Stanford GSB Executive Education, and Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Looman started his career with Community West in January 2011. His innovative spirit and vision helped grow the credit union from $111 million in assets and three branch locations to its current asset size of $258 million and six West Michigan branch locations. Looman spearheaded three mergers for Community West and brought internal and external teams together to design and build a new headquarters.Go to main navigation
