New MCUF Workshop Supports Financial Counselors and Educators
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) is hosting a free Financial Health, Education and Counseling Workshop on Oct. 13 in East Lansing. This session supplements the MCUF enhanced financial counseling training program and expands support to other credit union professionals interested in attending. The goal of the free event is to support credit union activity and their impact on improving financial wellbeing.
MCUF has funded a Michigan Enhanced Financial Counseling Certification Training program since 2010. This year, 125 credit union professionals from 37 credit unions are in the program, which has helped a total of 960 participants gain the skills and knowledge to guide members towards better financial health.
The new live and in-person training and workshop is for financial counselor program participants from this year and past years, as well as any other credit union professionals interested in attending.
The one-day session on Oct. 13 is located at MSUFCU in East Lansing; it begins at 9:15 a.m. The event includes speakers and activities focused on financial health, education and counseling.Go to main navigation
