Jolt Spreads Holiday Cheer in the Great Lakes Bay Region
Jolt Credit Union is taking the holiday season seriously, making sure its merry and bright for those in need. The Jolt Board of Directors have allocated $12,750 to bring “Jolt Joy” to children, adults, families and even animals who may be struggling this year.
1. Marine Toys for Tots (Saginaw, Bay City and Midland) on Dec. 3:
- Purchasing toys to be distributed by the Marine Reserves
2. Boys and Girls Club Great Lakes Bay Region on Dec. 14:
- Purchasing winter apparel for children that will be distributed to those in need by the Boys and Girls Club
- In addition, we have approximately 1000 granola bars that will be donated for their healthy snacks
3. Food Pantries: First Presbyterian (Saginaw), Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network and Our Lady of Peace Parish (formerly St. Mary’s in Bay City) on Dec. 1 and 7
- Nonperishable food items would be purchased and distributed to the three pantries
4. Amazing Grace Animal Shelter on Dec. 9:
- Purchasing much needed supplies to help this “no kill” shelter take care of animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused.
5. St. Mary’s Neighborhood Breakfast on Dec. 11:
- Donating money to be used to purchase undergarments for their breakfast guests
