DCECU Makes Donation to Gladwin County Baby Pantry
Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union (DCECU) recently provided a boost to Gladwin County parents and children via a donation to the Gladwin County Baby Pantry, which provides supplemental assistance to local families in need.
The pantry, which is a program of the Gladwin County Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Council, serves parents of children aged five or below by providing diapers, baby food, formula and gently used baby items and clothing.
DCECU Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO Susan Phillips recently delivered an assortment of items – coats, sleepers, socks, mittens, blankets, safety products, diaper bags, baby bottles and more – to the pantry on behalf of the credit union, which purchased the items to donate to the organization.
“It was like Christmas,” Baby Pantry Volunteer Jan Baumann said of the donation. “The need in Gladwin County is great for these types of supplies.”
Located at 116 Pearson St. in Beaverton. Donations are welcomed; call the organization at 989-387-1377 or send a message via its Facebook page to make arrangements to drop off a donation outside of weekly hours. Due to safety regulations, donations of cribs, car seats, baby powder and stuffed animals cannot be accepted.
