Lansing Lugnuts Give Lansing Little League Teams a Baseball Ambush
Last week, the Lansing Lugnuts boarded a bus with Big Lug, the teams mascot, in tow to give two Lansing little league teams a surprise. The bus arrived at Quintin Park where the Tigers and Knights were about to play a game. Instead, they bussed the two teams to the LAFCU-sponsored Lugnuts Stadium so they could play their game and see their names on the big stage.

MCCU's Annual Support of Relay for Life
For the ninth year in a row, Marshall Community Credit Union has raised funds and participated in Relay for Life of Calhoun County. This year’s event was held on June 28th and 29th at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds. MCCU participated in the event with a booth at the site, silent auction item, and several credit union employees and their families walked throughout the 24-hour event.
Relay for Life is an annual event held to benefit the American Cancer Society. In addition to participating in Relay, MCCU representatives worked tirelessly to raise money for the cause – including several food days for staff, and staff dress down days throughout the months of June, July and August. In addition, Relay for Life tchotchkes and more were sold at MCCU’s main office. In all, over $2,000 was raised.
MCCU team co-captain, Janell Quinn stated, “We’ve had great support from our employees this year! Without them we never would have been able to raise what we did. Thank you to everyone who participated in events, donated, purchased items and walked at the event this year!”Go to main navigation
