MCUF Initiatives Boost Credit Union Difference
Helping Diversified Members Credit Union expand opportunities for small businesses in Detroit and helping Arbor Financial Credit Union host a summer finance camp for teens are just two credit union community reinvestment activities made possible with support from the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) this year.
The 2018 MCUF Impact Report highlights credit union community reinvestment grant activities and shows how the foundation helps credit unions improve communities through financial education and social mission activities. The effect of this support goes far beyond helping the individual credit unions that received grants this year. In 2018, the foundation supported several statewide financial education programs reaching more than 13,000 youth and teens with the message that credit unions care about their financial future.
MCUF works with cooperative donations to help more people, families and communities in Michigan feel the credit union difference. All Michigan credit unions are encouraged to support the Michigan Credit Union Foundation with an annual donation and to participate in MCUF impact programs in 2019. Credit unions may choose to donate in conjunction with their MCUL & Affiliates Affiliation Invoice or directly to the foundation. Visit the MCUF website for more information, to apply for programs or to make a donation.Go to main navigation
