Credit Union ONE and St. Clair Shores Kiwanis Deliver Dictionaries
Credit Union ONE once again sponsored and partnered with the Shorewood St. Clair Shores Kiwanis to provide all 800 third grade students in St. Clair Shores with their own new dictionary.
More than twelve schools, public, private and charter, were included in the program, which was completed in November. The dictionaries include information on the United States Presidents, States of the United States, Sign Language, Braille, Maps and Multiplication Tables, among many other additional learning materials.
“The kids and teachers really appreciate this project, and I want to thank Credit Union ONE for being the sponsor of one of our favorite programs,” said Dr. Carl Papa, President of the St. Clair Shores Kiwanis.
The books were delivered to each classroom by representatives from the Kiwanis and Credit Union ONE. This year’s delivery marks more than ten years that Kiwanis has been involved with this program.
“The excitement of the children when they each get a book is really great,” said John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE. “This is a good way for us to give back to the schools and the community.”Go to main navigation
