Emotional Intelligence for Leaders

What do good leaders have in common? Sarah Gibson, founder of Accent Learning and Consulting, says the common denominator is Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

Gibson will present at the upcoming MCUL & Affiliates Intentional CU Leadership workshop, taking place next week at the Downtown Market Grand Rapids. She will explore the steps of EQ and discuss how to leverage individual leadership strengths in a variety of leadership scenarios. Through interactive activities and discussion, the concepts of EQ will be tied to being an effective leader by weaving in varied topics throughout the day.

Attendees will leave with a better understanding of their own leadership styles, as well as ways to motivate others, give feedback and handle difficult conversations. In addition to creating an individual development plan, participants will learn how to identify ways to create healthy teams.

There is still time to register for Intentional CU Leadership, which kicks off with a pre-event activity the evening of Nov. 7 and continues on Nov. 8. Gibson is one of three presenters at the event. Registration is $399 per person.
