Prepare for the Complexities of a Changing World: Lead with Intention
Michigan credit union staffers can become admired leaders by those they work with, work for and work to inspire at the MCUL & Affiliates 2018 Intentional CU Leadership workshop.
Nov. 7–8 at the downtown market in Grand Rapids, workshop attendees will complete an individual development plan to help them keep their career moving forward along all points of the leadership continuum.
The pre-event on Nov. 7 features Kevin Smith on "Preparing for Leadership." In the unique indoor garden setting, activities will challenge thinking about leadership and prepare attendees to connect with people at a human level, spark self-awareness, cultivate a style of leadership and challenge gaps in skills to move forward.
On Nov. 8, participants will hear from Chip Lutz on "Leveraging People for Success" and Sarah Gibson on "Emotional Intelligence for Leaders." Lutz will cover what it takes to build an effective team — or what to do with a team that is inherited — and Gibson will explore the steps of emotional intelligence and how to leverage individual leadership strengths in a variety of scenarios through interactive activities and discussion.
The event, hosted at the amazing downtown market Grand Rapids, provides a bright backdrop in a spacious greenhouse for attendees to grow new skills. Attendees can customize their experience by choosing accommodations at their favorite hotel, selecting which speaker to work with on their leadership journey and having access to a variety of snack and meal options from restaurants and vendors at the market. Plenty of fun networking opportunities await, along with opportunities to explore the market.
The Intentional CU Leadership workshop offers fresh spaces, innovative ideas and top experts to help teams of credit union staffers begin to lead with intention.Go to main navigation
