Register now for the Charity Fun Run/Walk at This Year’s AC&E

Get in on the fun at the MCUL/CUSG Annual Convention & Exposition at the charity Fun Run/Walk to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals: Credit Unions for Kids. This popular event is sponsored by the Mid-Michigan Chapter of Credit Unions and takes place Friday, June 8 at 6:30 a.m. The run starts at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa outdoor plaza. New Sessions on Cannabis Banking Added to AC&E Lineup

Michigan credit unions will find the latest intel on offering services to marijuana-related businesses, with three new sessions at this year's MCUL/CUSG Annual Convention & Exposition The event takes place June 6–9 in Traverse City, with the cannabis training on June 8. One such session is being offered as a Lunch & Learn topic, and those who are signed up for a different Lunch & Learn topic may log in to their event registration to switch sessions. Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union Donates to Atlanta School Lunch Program

Through the hard work and dedication of its employees and the generosity of its membership, Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) was able to raise $636.50 in monetary donations for the Atlanta School Lunch Program. The funds raised for the Atlanta School Lunch Program will help ensure students in need will have a warm meal during the school day.

Along with member donations, the Atlanta branch sold candy bars, held raffles and donated $2 to dress down on Fridays.

Consumers Credit Union Adds Mortgage Loan Officer to Serve Grand Rapids Area

Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Pamala Kemp to their Grand Rapids Cascade location mortgage department. Kemp is a graduate of Davenport College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and brings more than 19 years of experience in the residential and commercial real estate industry to her new role at Consumers.

As a seasoned mortgage loan officer, Kemp’s well-rounded knowledge of the mortgage process will help Consumers continue to be one of West Michigan’s top local mortgage lenders.

“I have a passion for helping members achieve the American Dream,” said Kemp when asked about her favorite aspect of the job. “I truly enjoy guiding home buyers through the steps to achieve their goals. Members can count on me to get things done quickly and efficiently.”
