Lynne Jarman-Johnson of Consumers CU Named One of West MI's 50 Most Influential Women

Lynne Jarmin-JacksonLynne Jarman-Johnson, chief marketing officer at Consumers Financial Credit Union, is among 50 women recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan.

Every year, the Grand Rapids Business Journal honors female business owners, policy-shapers, leaders and decision-makers for their community impact. This year’s publication saw a record for nominations.

“It’s an honor for our industry. I am thrilled daily to work side by side with colleagues who bring collaboration and fun to our members and community,” said Jarman-Johnson. “Consumers’ focus on women in executive leadership is a key component of why we are a 101 Best and Brightest company.”

For almost seven years, Jarman-Johnson has used her talent for collaboration to lead the credit union’s marketing team. In 2017, Consumers collaborated with Nothing Bundt Cakes to host a record-breaking cakewalk that raised $5,000 to provide meals for local children in need through Kids’ Food Basket.

“[Marketing professionals] serve so many people in so many capacities,” she said. “To be highlighted for collaboration in business success is amazing because it’s the core of what we do!”

Jarman-Johnson also credited her community for the role they have played in her professional success.

“It’s an honor to be able to thank my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and friends,” she said. “[They] push me to keep my passion and think differently, and support me even if an idea is a bit of a stretch.”

This year’s honorees will be celebrated at a luncheon from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. on March 7 at the JW Marriott International Ballroom in downtown Grand Rapids. Tickets are limited and may be purchased here.
