#VoteForMiracles Campaign to Support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Surpasses 100,000 Votes
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals today announced that #VoteForMiracles has surpassed 100,000 votes almost a full week ahead of the pace set at the same time last year.
Currently, Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo, OH has jumped to the lead followed by last year’s winner Hurley Children’s Hospital, Flint, MI and El Paso Children’s Hospital. Competition for fourth and fifth place remains very tight as well with a dozen hospitals in the hunt.
The hospital with the most votes after the promotion ends on December 19 will win $50,000. Second through fifth place will receive $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. The $100,000 donation on behalf of America’s credit unions is made possible thanks to the generosity of CO-OP Financial Services and CU Direct.
“We are excited with the wonderful response to Vote for Miracles so far and applaud our credit unions who have really gotten behind their respective hospitals to rally the vote among their staff, members and the community at large” remarked John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
CMN Hospitals co-Founder Marie Osmond and Miss America 2018, Cara Mund have also thrown their support behind the campaign by posting videos on their social media channels.
Many of the top hospitals and their credit union supporters have engaged local media resulting in several stories on local telecasts, on various social media platforms, and in the print media.
Both credit unions and hospitals are also implementing a social share custom link builder tool that has simplified the voting process. To learn more about this new tool, credit unions are invited to visit here to download the “How To” instructions.
Designed to engage consumers, #VoteForMiracles hopes to drive awareness of credit unions by highlighting the credit union difference. During the voting process, voters are asked to “Choose their Credit Union.” The credit union that generates the most votes for the winning Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will be invited to be part of the check presentation at the conclusion of the campaign. At this time, the 10 most represented credit unions are: ELGA Credit Union, Dort Federal Credit Union, Health Center Credit Union, Palmetto Health Credit Union, Mercy Health Partners Federal Credit Union, SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, Financial Plus Credit Union (Mich.), Service 1st Federal Credit Union (Penn.), GECU and Orange County’s Credit Union.
