  • The annual peer-to-peer networking event exclusively for Michigan credit union CEOs and C-suite executive will once again be held at The Inn at Bay Harbor, when MCUL & Affiliates and CUES Michigan chapters host the Executive Summit on Sept. 13-15. The event features an optional pre-conference golf outing at the Bay Harbor Golf Club on Wednesday, Sept. 13 which is sponsored by CU Solutions Group, Sprint and CUNA Mutual Group. Other networking opportunities include a reception and vendor showcase, a CUES networking reception, a bonfire party by the lake, conversational breakfasts and lunches, a dessert break with vendors and personal time to enjoy dinner offsite with peers. The resort setting is ideal to unwind, relax and reflect on each day’s sessions by enjoying the lake and hotel amenities, or shopping in Bay Harbor, visiting the historic gaslight district in Petoskey or stopping in at the Odawa Casino or area wineries.   • CUNA will host Mortgage Loan Originator training in Lansing Oct. 5 at LAFCU. The session will provide compliance training for the rules issued by the CFPB pursuant to Dodd-Frank amended Regulation Z. The eight-hour MLO training is approved by the National Mortgage Licensing Association and covers federal and state law requirements that relate to the individual loan originator's origination activities. Registration is $239 for affiliated CUNA members and $478 for non-members.
  • IRAs: Essentials and Beyond Essentials is coming to Marquette Sept. 27-28 and Frankenmuth Oct. 11-12. Day one of the training provides essentials to give attendees a solid foundation of IRA knowledge. Day two goes beyond these essentials to build on the attendees’ knowledge of IRA basics to address some of the more complex IRA issues their credit unions may handle. Registration is $199 per person, per day. Attendees may register for one-day or two.
