AC&E: New Conference App and SCANTrivia Add More Fun to June Conference
The MCUL/CUSG 2017 Annual Convention & Exposition will see a boost in technology usage, with the introduction of a new conference app and a new interactive app-based activity called SCANTrivia. The event takes place June 7-10 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.
The new 'MCUL/CUSG 2017 Annual Convention & Exposition' app features the complete agenda and session descriptions, speaker information and sponsor/exhibitor details, all integrated with floor plans to help navigate the facility. The app allows attendees to connect with one another, find area dining, locate Grand Rapids attractions, access social media, bid at the online Auction for Advocacy, see area maps, provide event evaluations and even find a ride on UBER.
Attendees may also create personal conference schedules using the app, set reminders, take notes and bookmark favorite speakers and sessions. They will be able to provide event feedback and complete the Conference Evaluation through the app, too. The app is available to download free of charge from Google Play and the App Store. QR codes on signage at the event will also make it easy for attendees to access the app.
For added fun and opportunities to win prizes, attendees will be able to play an interactive scavenger hunt and trivia game, called SCANTrivia. Played using a mobile device, participants earn points by answering some initial questions and then look for more questions by searching for game stops throughout the Exposition Hall at the DeVos Place and checking in with an interactive game board in the registration area at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. A QR code on the game board allows players to snap to find more questions, and a leader board allows everyone to follow the action by seeing who has the most points.
Participants are reminded to bring their mobile devices, and they will be provided assistance with learning how to play SCANTrivia. Access to participate is included as part of event registration; to watch a short video now, click here.Go to main navigation
