AC&E: Cool City Becomes CU City as Hundreds Register, Book Hotels
It is known as "Cool City," "Beer City" and "Art City," but this coming June 7-10, downtown Grand Rapids is going to feel like Credit Union City while the MCUL/CUSG Annual Convention & Exposition takes place at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel & DeVos Place.
Hundreds of attendees are registered and participants are reminded to get their hotel accommodations booked by May 12. Hotel rooms are being held at a negotiated rate until this date and should be reserved online by first registering for the AC&E, then using the provided confirmation number and following the prompts to secure hotel reservations. Rooms are very limited at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, but additional accommodations are available at the adjacent JW Marriott, which is easily accessible by an enclosed walkway.
The AC&E features keynote speakers Dan Schulman, president and CEO of PayPal, along with Veronika Scott, founder and CEO of The Empowerment Plan. Attendees are reminded to secure tickets for the Thursday Economic Issues Luncheon featuring MSU Associate Professor Lisa D. Cook, for the Friday line-up of Lunch and Learn topics and for the Saturday Networking Luncheon sponsored by the Michigan Chapter of CUES.
More than 100 vendors from across the country will be set-up throughout the expo hall, where the new interactive scavenger hunt SCANTrivia will be featured. Dozens of breakout sessions are scheduled and the fun live and silent "Auctions for Advocacy" will add to the excitement of the event. Guests are welcome to register and enjoy special activities such as crafting blankets that will be donated to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.Go to main navigation
