- Writing Tips for Effective E-mails @ Work is the topic of a Sept. 27 webinar being offered by CUNA from noon-1:15 p.m. (ET). The session is designed with practical tips and tools to help writers who want to write clearer, more concise and more effective messages, using white space and eye appeal to increase readability and write subject lines that get responses. Registration is $219 for CUNA members and $438 for non-members.
- CUNA is offering a free EMV Update webinar to affiliated credit unions on Sept. 22 from 2-3 p.m. (ET). While the session is complimentary, registration is required to attend. VISA will provide a chip progress update, including perspectives on challenges and opportunities that still remain. In addition, attendees will better understand how the move to EMV chip cards is impacting the payments system. The webinar is beneficial for credit union financial, payments and risk management professionals.
- Federal law and regulations; ethics, consumer protection and fair lending; non-traditional mortgage products and undefined mortgage instruction are all topics that will be covered at the upcoming CUNA Mortgage Loan Originator session on Oct. 18. The 8-hour SAFE Comprehensive course fulfills the requirements issued by the CFPB pursuant to Dodd-Frank amended Regulation Z for periodic training of individual loan originators. Registration is $299 for CUNA members and $598 for non-members. The training is being hosted at Michigan First CU in Lathrup Village.
