- On Oct. 18 CUNA will host Mortgage Loan Originator training in Lathrup Village at Michigan First CU. The session will provide compliance training covering the rules issued by the CFPB pursuant to Dodd-Frank amended Regulation Z. The eight-hour MLO training is approved by the National Mortgage Licensing Association and covers federal and state law requirements that relate to the individual loan originator's origination activities. Registration is $299 for affiliated CUNA members and $598 for non-members.
- IRAs: Essentials and Beyond Essentials is coming to Michigan Oct. 4 & 5 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth. Day one provides essentials to give attendees a solid foundation of IRA knowledge. Day two goes beyond these essentials to build on the attendees’ knowledge of IRA basics to address some of the more complex IRA issues their credit unions may handle. Registration is $199 per person, per day. Attendees may register for one-day or two.
- On Oct. 12, CUNA will offer a Truth-in-Savings webinar priced at $219 for CUNA members and $438 for non-members. Taking place from 11a.m.-noon (ET) the session will define the regulation and help staff understand the expectation of full disclosure to the membership and public. It will also discuss the acceptable use of terminology when disclosing the terms and conditions of an account.
