Community Connection: Kellogg Community FCU Donates Food for Thanksgiving
Kellogg Community FCU employees have stepped up this holiday season by donating more than 1,000 pounds of food to help those in need for Thanksgiving. The food will be distributed throughout the counties KCFCU serves.
“Our all-staff Team Enrichment Day has been dedicated as a food collection day for ten years now,” KCFCU CEO Tracy Miller said. “This is the second year we decided to create Thanksgiving baskets with the donations.”
Employees decided to bring in food donations for their annual Team Enrichment Day on Oct. 12. The food was divided into eleven Thanksgiving baskets and will be distributed to families in need determined by a handful of organizations.
“The baskets are on display at each of our branches, and our staff will distribute them to families within their service area,” Miller added. “We feel strongly about helping the members of our communities in need, and this is one way we can help them enjoy their Thanksgiving holiday.”
