MCUL Sponsors Free State Financial Education Programs
Building Mi Financial Future events, which are catered to people ages 25-49, will feature experts who will speak on a variety of topics including: spending, saving, credit and debit, health insurance, college funding, financial scams, retirement planning, home ownership and more.
Attendees will enjoy a 7-station personalized and interactive life-style assessment experience, and a financial resource fair filled with information on additional topics.
Reinventing Mi Retirement events are designed for residents who are 50 and older. These events are supplemented by online resources including a newly-developed video series and toolkits. Everything is free to attend. Watch a video from Reinventing Mi Retirement event here.
“With so many financial resources available to Michigan consumers, it’s challenging to know if we are getting the right information,” Director of DIFS Patrick McPharlin said. “We have partnered with financial experts from all over the state to bring consumers the most up-to-date information. We encourage all Michigan residents who have financial questions or concerns to sign up and join us for an event in October.”
