Apply Now for Young Professional Scholarships for Lead with Heart Women’s Conference
Michigan credit union professionals under 40 have an opportunity to attend the MCUL’s inaugural Lead with Heart: A Gathering for Women Who Inspire by applying by Jan. 16 for one of three available scholarships. Registration is underway for the half-day event that takes place Feb. 18 at The Baronette Renaissance Detroit-Novi Hotel in Novi and seats are filling fast.
The inspirational day will feature leadership insights, brunch and networking including ‘Opening Remarks’ from MCUL/CUSG President and CEO Patty Corkery, ‘Breaking Barriers, Building Pathways’ with Humanidei President and CEO Jill Nowacki, and a ‘Peer Leadership Panel’ with Deleanna Allen from Public Service CU, Renee Sattiewhite of the African-American Credit Union Coalition, Sati Smith of Diversified Members CU and Ingrid Todt from Rainbow Connection. The day will wrap up with the session ‘Ignite Unstoppable Momentum’ with Author Kim Becking who will share actionable strategies for building resilience and maintaining momentum in today’s fast-paced environment.
Attendees are encouraged to bring small donations such as toiletries or socks for First Step Women’s Shelter, reinforcing the event’s theme of leading with heart by caring for others. Registration is $299 per person; hotel rooms are being held on a first-come basis at a negotiated rate until Jan. 27.
