Arbor Financial Awards $20K to 2026 Scholarship Winners
Arbor Financial Credit Union has announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, awarding $2,000 each to ten high school seniors from across its service area.
Established in 1999, the scholarship program has awarded more than $632,000 to support students pursuing higher education. Recipients are selected in part based on an essay submission. This year’s prompt asked applicants to reflect on adaptability and how experiences navigating change have shaped their approach to future opportunities and challenges.
A total of 115 applications were received for the 2026 program.
The following students were selected as this year’s scholarship recipients:
- Alison Brewer, Mattawan High School — Michigan State University
- Brendan Hinojosa, Hudsonville High School — Grand Rapids Community College
- Dylan Piwko, Gull Lake High School — University of Michigan
- Ellie Korringa, Otsego High School — Northern Michigan University
- Emilee Dyk, Kalamazoo Christian High School — Calvin University
- Jack Howard, Portage Central High School — University of Miami (Ohio)
- Luke Deal, Vicksburg High School — Northwood University
- Lydia Boley, Kalamazoo Christian High School — University of Michigan
- Kiraly Schoenauer, Early College Program — Purdue Fort Wayne
- Rachael Joseph, Early College Program — Western Michigan University
Arbor Financial Credit Union serves more than 46,000 members across Michigan and offers a range of financial services including personal, mortgage and business accounts. The organization reports more than $927 million in assets and continues to support its communities through scholarships, volunteerism, sponsorships and financial services.
