Financial Well-Being Champion Award
Award Overview
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) Financial Well-Being Champion Award recognizes an individual within the Michigan credit union system for outstanding leadership, creativity, and measurable impact in improving the financial health of members and communities.
This award honors those who go beyond their job description to embody the credit union mission of “people helping people” – demonstrating innovation, passion, and results in advancing financial wellness for all.
Award recipients may include financial counselors, educators, marketers, executives, or other credit union professionals whose work directly improves financial wellbeing outcomes.

Application Components Applications must clearly describe how the nominee’s efforts meet some or all of the award criteria. Submissions may include links to photos, videos, or other supporting materials that illustrate the nominee’s work and impact. |
Requirements Submission may contain links to additional information, such as photos, videos, resources, etc. |
Possible Points Awards will be evaluated and scored, based on each application component. |

Evaluation and Selection
Judges will receive each application using standardized scoring rubric.
Bonus points (up to +5) may be awarded for exceptional storytelling or a particularly inspiring narrative that captures the heart of the credit union difference.
Submission Requirements
All sections should be compiled into one document with clearly defined sections.
Submit all application materials and supporting documentation online via the submission form.
By submitting a nomination, applicants grant permission for MCUF and MCUL to share stories, photos, and materials in publications, presentations, and advocacy efforts to highlight the credit union difference in Michigan communities.
